MAIN CAMERA - Nikon Z8
This is one beast of a camera, especially for wildlife photography! The auto-focus is just so good and the image quality outstanding. I recently upgraded from the Nikon Z6ii and I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I am with this upgrade. The Nikon Z8 is definitely the best camera I have ever owned.

TELEPHOTO LENS - Nikon Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3
This is a lens I have waited a very long time for! When I switched to mirrorless in 2020, I had a Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6 lens that I used with an FTZ adaptor on the Nikon Z6. It was a good combo, but I’m so excited to finally have the 180-600mm on order. My thoughts on the lens will follow once I have used it.

WIDE TO MID-RANGE LENS - Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 S
This is a great all-round lens that serves me well for landscape photography, but also for wider wildlife shots. I also really enjoy this lens for video. The constant aperture and sharpness of this lens is superb, and I love the results I get from this one. 24-120mm is also a range I love when I go hiking.

SUPER WIDE ANGLE LENS - Nikon Z 20mm f/1.8 S
For that wide approach to landscape and astro photography, this is a lens I really enjoy! I love the quality of this glass and I really enjoy the small size and weight. I also use this lens on occasion to film in extreme low light.

2ND CAMERA / VLOGGING & FILMING CAMERA - Nikon Z30 & 16-50 f/3.5-6.3
This compact camera is perfect for filming b-roll, vlogging, and capturing wider-angle photographs. I prefer to keep the Z8 permanently paired with the 180-600mm lens for primary shooting, while using the Z30 as a versatile secondary camera for additional filming and photography.

ACTION CAMERA / VLOGGING & FILMING CAMERA - DJI Action 4 & DJI Mic Mini
I absolutely love using this setup for filming on the go. It's incredibly lightweight, making it ideal for walking and capturing steady footage. The DJI Mic Mini pairs seamlessly with the Action 4, ensuring excellent audio quality. I also rely on the Action 4 for capturing shots that would be risky or impractical with a traditional camera, making it an indispensable part of my gear.

The Rode Video Mic Go II is a great shotgun style microphone, great for studio and in-field use, at a very affordable price. I enjoy using this mic for vlogging as well. I use the Zoom H1n audio recorder for stereo ambient sound recordings in the field. I like how small and light this audio recorder is, it’s always in my bag ready to go.

PHOTO FILTERS - Nisi True Color Polariser & Nisi 10-stop ND
A circular polariser and 10-stop ND filter are an absolute necessity for my landscape photography. Nisi filters are top quality and I wouldn’t use anything else. I prefer the circular style filters because they are smaller than square filters and less cumbersome to use, they are also light for use when hiking too.
